Hyderabad: The Telangana Board Of Intermediate Education is set to introduce artificial intelligence among other subjects in the physics syllabus from the next academic year. This move aims to modernise the curriculum and align it with the latest technological advancements.
The revised syllabus will cover detailed concepts on AI and its real-world applications, data science, machine learning, robotics, and drone technology.
This update is expected to provide students with practical knowledge and skills essential for future careers in science and technology.
The education department has taken this initiative to ensure students gain early exposure to the technology topics which will help students seeking to crack IIT-JEE, NEET and CUET as well as other national and state entrance tests.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, TGBIE secretary Krishna Aditya said: “The revised syllabus follows NCERT guidelines, with some topics being added or removed.” He said the research and training wing was reviewing the syllabus, with the team of academic experts and professors from IIT and Osmania University.
“The updated syllabus is expected to be finalised by the end of January and will be implemented from the next academic year. Once confirmed, Telugu Academy will publish the new textbooks.” Aditya told Deccan Chronicle.
