Cyberabad Police Chief Avinash Mohanty inaugurates sports meet

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty here on Tuesday inaugurated the Cyberabad 7th Annual Sports, Games and Duty Meet - 2025 at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate Parade Ground in Gachibowli here.

Prior to the event, the Commissioner received the ceremonial salute from the police athletes from various zones and declared the 7th Annual Sports, Games & Duty Meet – 2025 open.

Avinash Mohanty congratulated the staff participating in the sports and games and encouraged all police personnel to actively engage in these events. He emphasized that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and stressed the importance of incorporating physical activity into daily life, whether it be walking, running, playing football, tennis, badminton, cricket, swimming or any other form of exercise.

He highlighted that everyone should make physical activity a part of their daily routine to maintain overall well-being. He urged senior officers to take part in at least one event to make the sports meet a success.

This year, in line with the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate's commitment to the health and well-being of police personnel and their families, several health camps have been organized. These camps included cancer screening and other essential health checkups to address a variety of health concerns.

The Commissioner urged everyone to prioritize regular health checkups, as they play a vital role in safeguarding individuals from lifestyle-related and other diseases.

CAR Headquarters DCP Sanjeev stated that police participants from five law and order zones and other wings would enthusiastically participate in the sports, games and duty meet 2025 which will be conducted from January 21 to 24.

He urged everyone to participate in sports and make exercise a part of their daily life. Over 953 police personnel including 150 women employees will participate in these events.
