Belagavi: Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar emphasized that his primary duty is to safeguard the party and ensure the stability of the government, adding that he has made numerous sacrifices for the party's strength and will continue to prioritize its future security and growth.

Speaking to reporters in Belagavi on Monday, Shivakumar dismissed speculations of any internal rift in the party.

“My sole responsibility is to save the party and keep the government stable. I do not have any responsibilities other than this. I do not have differences with anyone. Do not unnecessarily drag my name into everything.”

He urged the media to steer clear of baseless rumors and false narratives.

“There is no rift in the party. As the party president, I treat everyone equally. It is my duty to take everyone along and strengthen the organization.”

Shivakumar also spoke about this sacrifice to the party.

“I have made several sacrifices for the party. Be it during Dharam Singh’s coalition government or Siddaramaiah’s previous government, I prioritized the party over personal interests. The party recognized me as a student leader and gave me opportunities. Do not listen to rumors,” he appealed to the media.

When asked how long he would continue making sacrifices and whether he expected rewards, Shivakumar said, “I have no desire for rewards. It is enough for me that people benefit from my efforts.”
