Hyderabad: Discussions on examination reforms, automation of academic processes, and fostering innovation through start-ups took centre stage during the visit of Himachal Pradesh’s technical education minister Rajesh Dharmani, to the JNTU-H on Thursday.
The minister engaged with university leaders to understand key advancements, including automated question paper generation, modern evaluation methods, and record digitisation. He praised JNTU-H’s measures to enhance examination security and governance as benchmarks for academic institutions across the country.
Rector Dr. K. Vijayakumar Reddy and registrar Dr. K. Venkateswara Rao briefed the ministerial delegation while in-charge Vice Chancellor Dr V. Balakista Reddy introduced department heads and detailed their contributions.
The minister also toured the university’s J-Hub and Incubation Centre, which focuses on nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty. He lauded the initiatives supporting startups and emphasised their importance in modernising technical education.
Minister Dharmani spoke about the significance of JNTU-H’s practices in transforming education systems and expressed interest in adopting similar strategies in Himachal Pradesh.
