Singapore ITE’s Collaboration Will Boost Young India Skill University: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Efforts to provide proper training and job opportunities to Telangana youth received a shot in the arm during the three-day Singapore tour that helped obtain investments to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore, IT minister D. Sridhar Babu said on Sunday.

He said that the delegation had visited the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE) campus to get a first-hand understanding of the skill development courses and facilities. The government has signed a memorandum of understanding with the ITE to associate with the Young India Skill University here.

The minister explained that the upcoming state-of- the-art AI data centre campus in Hyderabad would feature cutting-edge technologies with a targeted capacity of up to 100 MW, along with ample scalability for future growth, making it one of the largest data centre projects in the country.

"The delegation showcased the myriad investment opportunities available in Telangana across areas, which drew praise.” Sridhar Babu said. Singapore minister Grace Fu Hai Yien assured the delegation that the city-state would consider an invitation to partner with Telangana in realising the goals of Telangana Rising," he said.

The state delegation had key discussions with representatives of world-class organisations and industrialists from various fields.
