Kurnool: Kurnool parliamentary constituency Telugu Desam president Palakurthi Thikka Reddy has alleged that certain party leaders in the district are collecting bribes from their party workers. He said they would report these irregularities and incidents of bribery to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to the media, Thikka Reddy expressed frustration over the treatment of loyal TD workers, particularly those who suffered under the previous YSRC regime. "Workers who went to jail for the party flag, fought on the streets, and faced financial hardships are being sidelined, while YSRC members who recently joined the party are being given key positions and opportunities," he alleged.

He further claimed that certain MLAs and party incharges collected up to `5 lakh from party workers under the pretence of offering dealer shops. He criticised these activities, questioning, "What should we say about those who take bribes from their own workers? Is this why youth leader Nara Lokesh went on a padayatra, why Chandrababu Naidu endured insults, and why he went to jail in an illegal case?"

He also highlighted the case of Bastipati Nagaraju from the Kurava community, stating that Naidu had given him the Kurnool MP ticket and the people had ensured his victory by a significant majority. Telugu Desam leader alleged that some party incharges are obstructing support meant for party activists and MP’s community members. He reiterated that all these issues would be brought to the attention of party chief Chandrababu Naidu.
