Hyderabad: The state government has assured the continuation of Aarogyasri services across the state following a meeting chaired by health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha with representatives of private hospitals.

The discussion was to resolve long pending issues raised by the Telangana Aarogyasri Network Hospitals Association (TANHA), which had led some hospitals to suspend non-emergency services under the scheme.

The meeting, conducted in the Aarogyasri Trust Office, was attented by health secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, TANHA president Dr Rakesh, general secretary Hariprakash, Dr Soujanya, and Harish Reddy. Association representatives requested a revision of the empanelment memorandum of understanding, updates to Aarogyasri package rates, and clearance of pending dues.

“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, we have been releasing funds for healthcare and education without delays. While the previous administration cleared an average of ₹500 crore annually for Aarogyasri, our government has disbursed ₹1,137 crore in the last year, clearing past dues. Payments are being made regularly, and all arrears will be cleared within six months,” said Minister Rajanarsimha.

He added a committee will review objections about package rates, and further meetings with the Health Secretary and Aarogyasri CEO will address additional issues.

Hospital representatives noted that monthly releases under Aarogyasri have nearly doubled from ₹50 crore to ₹100 crore.
