Van with 50 Adivasi devotees falls into valley at Malepur Ghat

Adilabad: Nearly 50 Adivasi devotees, including women and children from Suryaguda of Gudihathnoor, were travelling in a van when it fell into the valley at Malepur Ghat near Narnoor on Sunday evening.

The accident resulted in 10 devotees sustaining grievous injuries, while the remaining passengers suffered minor injuries. All injured individuals were promptly transported to RIMS, Adilabad for medical treatment.

The incident occurred as the Adivasis were en route to the Jangu Bai Temple in Kotaparandholi, located near the state borders. In the aftermath, Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju responded swiftly by coordinating with RIMS doctors to ensure better treatment for the injured. He also arranged vehicles to transport devotees with minor injuries back to their native villages after receiving medical care.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident to prevent future occurrences and ensure the safety of devotees traveling to religious sites.
