Khammam: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasised on Sunday that the state government is committed to improving living conditions by increasing people’s income.
Inaugurating a new Primary Health Centre (PHC) building constructed for Rs 1.5 crore at Bangigandlapadu in Yerrupalem, he said the government ensures welfare and development schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries. He dismissed claims that beneficiaries for four new welfare schemes were preselected, stating they are identified transparently through gram sabhas.
The Deputy CM highlighted Rythu Bharosa, which provides Rs 12,000 per acre annually to farmers, and Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa, offering Rs 12,000 annually to landless agricultural workers, as pioneering initiatives. He noted no other state had introduced a scheme like Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa, which could become a national model.
He also announced plans to develop eco-tourism at potential locations, including Yerrupalem, creating employment opportunities and attracting tourists through online promotions.
Additionally, he laid foundation stones for CC roads in Sakibeveedu and Buchireddipalem.
