Hyderabad: A property dispute between YSRC MP Y.V. Subba Reddy from AP, and the brother-in-law of minister Damodar Rajnarsimha has reached the Gachibowli police, with both parties filing complaints against each other.
Subba Reddy’s wife Y. Swarna Latha Reddy lodged a complaint against A. Anil Reddy, brother-in-law of Rajnarsimha, alleging criminal trespass and land grabbing.
According to Latha Reddy’s complaint, she had purchased the land in 2006. She alleged that in the last week of December, when she was out of town, Anil Reddy and his henchmen trespassed on her site and erected a board with his name and phone number.
When she went to question them, they said that they had all the documents for the land but did not show any. She further alleged that they threw stones and other sharp objects at them.
She claimed that on Saturday, the board carrying Anil Reddy’s name was replaced with another board bearing YouTuber G. Narasimha Reddy’s name as owner.
Countering the complaint, Shaik Jameel, allegedly the land’s supervisor, filed a complaint against Subba Reddy, Swarna Latha Reddy and others, accusing them of trespassing and attempting to grab the land belonging to Narasimha Reddy.
Jameel, in his complaint, stated that the land was owned by Narasimha Reddy. He alleged that on December 30, Subba Reddy and others had attempted to encroach by taking up some work with a JCB.
He also alleged that a mob of 20 persons, carrying deadly weapons had tried to kill them. They had demolished the gate, boundary wall, CC cameras, bulldozed one of their rooms and had removed electrical connections. The loss was to the tune of Rs.15 lakh, he said.
Gachibowli SI Rajashekar Reddy said that they are investigating the case.
